The Coordination and Cooperation with Civilian Authorities in the Naval Domain Structure implements the NATO discipline of Naval Cooperation and Guidance for Shipping (NCAGS), with the aim of guiding, advising and providing assistance to the shipping industry, in support of the operation commander and to ensure the safety and security of merchant vessels.
