Laboratory activity

The Marine Topogeodesy Research Laboratory carries out topogeodetic research of the coastal area, consisting of all the measures and actions undertaken for collecting, analysing, verifying, storing, updating and utilising data on topogeodetic support.

It carries out the densification of the geodetic network and obtains information on the existence, physical condition and marking of survey markers, the possibilities for restoring missing marker signs, access routes to them, and the emergence of new prominent features in the terrain that can be determined for use as orientation reference points.

It carries out topogeodetic research of the coastline for the coastal area.

It carries out the topogeodetic surveys required for updating marine charts and documents for the Naval Forces or for internal and external beneficiaries.

It carries out topogeodetic measurements for the preparation of detailed plans of military ports and cadastral plans for its own barracks.

It provides the topogeodetic data and products required for the production of cartographic materials by the Cartography Section.

It carries out topogeodetic measurements specific to the calibration of radiolocation stations on board ships and along the coast.

It carries out special topographic surveys for the benefit of the Naval Forces.
