Through the information it provides, the nautical chart is an indispensable tool for voyage planning and for conducting navigation safely and efficiently.
The Maritime Hydrographic Directorate (DHM) is the specialised authority responsible for producing and updating the nautical charts required for safe navigation in Romania's maritime area of responsibility.
