Captain Gheorghe BUJOR
Born on March 16th 1973 in Ivesti, Galati county, Romania he graduated “A. I. Cuza” Navy high school in Constanța in 1991 and in 1996 “Mircea cel Batran” Naval Academy as an engineer in Naval Radioelectronics as lieutenant junior grade.
He was promoted to lieutenant in 2002, to lieutenant commander in 2008, to commander in 2013 and to captain in 2018.
Upon completion of the Naval Academy courses, he was assigned to the first position as head of technical assurance to the Radiotechnical and Surveillance Battalion of the “Callatis” Radioelectronic and Surveillance Brigade, until 2001. Between 2001-2010, he worked in the same unit where he performed various technical and command tasks. During this period he was actively involved in the implementation of the SCOMAR program (Maritime Surveillance System in the Black Sea).
Since 2010, he has performed various functions within the Maritime Hydrographic Directorate, being Head of the Communications and Information Technology Department, Head of the Maritime Signaling Department and Chief of Staff.
His professional and personal educational development include, Advanced Course for Naval Officers (2001), Staff course (2008), Planning of human and material resources during crisis, war and mobilization course (2009) and Post-university program for continuous professional development of Command in the field of Naval Forces (2015).
During 2017-2019, he has perfected his academic training at "Carol I" National Defense University as a master officer, in the specialization of the Leadership in Naval Forces.
He taught electronics as an associate professor at the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran" in Constanta for both military and civilian students from 2016 to 2017.
As a mark of appreciation, for the proven professionalism and outstanding achievements had throughout his career, he was awarded the following orders and distinctions: Honorary Sign "Service in the Armed Forces" for 15 years of activity, Honorary Sign "Service in the Armed Forces" for 20 years of activity, Honorary Sign "Service in the Armed Forces" for 25 years of activity.
